When I use the command it sets the registry value to 0x80000000, but when I try setting it to 0x80000002 just to see what happens (or running the command with disablelastaccess 2) after restarting it automatically gets set to 0x80000003. I tried going into the registry and changing it manually. I also tried the command "fsutil behavior set disablelastaccess 0" and restarted but doesn't seem to work. I've already tried disabling indexing and the windows search service. I'm just trying to have my most recently opened files at the top.

The only way for the "Date Accessed" timestamp to update is to actually write to the file (changing properties or if it's a text file then actually writing stuff and saving it). When I open a file and close it the timestamp is not updated. When I open a folder all the files have the same timestamp. I've added the Date Accessed column to the details panel in my file explorer, but it does not update correctly. I have been tearing my hair out trying to figure out how to get this stupid thing to work.
